Tex Avery TV of Tomorrow

I used to watch a lot of TV when I was young and I loved to watch cartoons. As I have mentioned in other posts, I love retro futurism. Retro Futurism is any form of  futuristic ideas and concepts that were presented during the 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s. This specific video is about the TV of tomorrow. I love the old cartoons because they promoted use of the viewer’s imagination. Below are some other examples of early TV’s of the bygone eras. Above is the MGM’s TV of Tomorrow cartoon that first premiered in 1953.

Keep your imagination flowing no matter how old you are. You may be the next person to come up with a great idea. I mean look at the bit TV that is on the wall of the House of the future photo. They somehow know in the 1960’s that we would be going to flat screens and large size TV’s. There is a whole series of “_________ of tomorrow” cartoons from MGM. You can find them on youtube.

Thanks for reading,
