Behind the blog

Brought to this world on November 27, 1984 in the middle of the night. I was so eager to get out I was born 2 months premature. I grew up in Oroville, in northern California. It was a small farming town built on the riches of the 1800’s gold rush that followed the San Francisco gold rush. Living in Oroville taught me a lot about living in a small town. I was surrounded by older family members of my dads side of the family; aunts, uncles, and my grandma. I was introduced to older style music styles such as swing, big band, classical, 50’s  rock and roll, and 1970’s/1980’s rock. My grandma was one of the biggest influences to why I am who I am today. It was her and my dad that really taught me how to have manners, and to have respect for people.  I lived there till I was in first grade, then I moved to San Lorenzo, also in northern California.  When I moved to San Lorenzo I was introduced to the doo wop music, jazz, and 1960’s music by my Mom’s side of the family. During High school i was into bands like Korn and disturbed but I still liked big band and jazz. I then decided to get really into the vintage styles and nostalgia of  Americana. I have been into it since. And just recently decided to start a blog and share my interests with others that would appreciate it.
